Geneva Keith Ulm

I have always been artistic and have been involved in drawing a painting for as long as I can remember. I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Art History, and a minor in Studio Painting and Drawing. I continued after graduation and got my teaching certificate in Art Education and taught art in elementary and middle schools.

My grandmother's family was artistic and operated an art gallery in Salt Lake City. She was gifted in oil painting, and her grandather was a pioneer in photography who was quite well known in his day.

I have taken painting classes here in Tucson, first with George Goh for several years and now I am active in a workshop with Larry Wollam. I have always loved the fluidity of watercolor and it is my favorite medium. My subjects come mainly from two areas. My flower garden has always inspired me, and I work from the photographs I have taken there. I love to travel and am inspired by the architecture as well as the flora and fauna of other environments.

I call Tucson my home, and live with my daughter who is currently studying art and photography at the University of Arizona.
