Janet Tifft

Janet Tifft is a second generation native Arizonan. She was born October 26, 1932 and raised in Douglas, Arizona. She received a B. A. in Art Education at Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ in 1956, and a Master of Art Education at the University of Arizona in 1966. A "signature" member of the SAWG (Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild) for almost 30 years, she has taken many workshops offered by the Guild and has been exhibited regularly in their juried membership shows. She is an associate member and retired instructor at The Drawing Studio, and regularly exhibits in their member shows. She considers this association a vital and energizing link to the "practice of art." 

Her favorite subject matter exists in the shapes, colors, patterns, lines, and forms of nature in general, and the desert landscape in particular. Her favorite medium is transparent watercolor. For more, visit JanetTifft.com.
