Natalie-Nieto Slana

Natalie was born in Los Angeles, California. She, with her mother, father and younger brother, moved to Tucson in 1942.

Natalie loved to draw. Drawing and listening to her favorite music on the radio was a sanctuary. Natalie started to use color with oils on traditional canvas but when she discovered watercolor, she fell in love. Presently she has been experimenting with Yupo paper (a less immediately absorbent composite requiring Control, Intuition and Trust). She's intrigued by its almost melodious flowing qualities.

A number of her works can been seen at the Villa Feliz Flower and Gift Shop at Broadway and Wilmot in the Mercado Shopping Center in Tucson, Arizona.

Natalie is a signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, a member of The Drawing Studio, The Southern Arizona Art Guild and The Southwest League of Fine Art.
