Kathy is a lifelong artist who has worked in watercolor, oil, colored pencils, pen and ink, book illustrations, hand-made paper and metals. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin and has participated in many art courses and workshops. A resident of Tucson, Arizona, Kathy has been juried into the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild where she has achieved Signature Status. Her striking, vibrant watercolors have been exhibited in many shows and galleries in Arizona and Wisconsin. Her work
has been featured in group and solo shows in Arizona, including: Kathy's work also includes 30 original watercolor illustrations for a children's book about the Sonoran Desert. Her paintings are being enjoyed in homes in Arizona, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Maine, California and Europe. Kathy's unique style has evolved to impressionistic realism with elements of abstraction. She works from her own photos, natural scenes, and her imagination. She is inspired by the enchanting Arizona desert, lush Mexican imagery, plant life, people, and street scenes. |
