An interest in art that dates back to my youth was put "on hold" while my husband and I enjoyed raising our family of five children. After that was done (more or less!!) I was able to pursue my goal of completing my art education, graduating in 1989 from Minnesota's St. Cloud State University with an Associate Degree in Elective Studies, a major in the Art Department.

Watercolor enchants me…the unexpected burst of vibrant colors and chemical effects when two or more pigments meet on the wet paper, the personal statement one's brush makes that no others can duplicate. Most of my work is representational, however, I try to bring my experience and impression of the subject to the viewer in a way that encourages him/her to add personal recall and interpretation, thereby participating…
