    Vladimir Foitik

I am a retired Structural Engineer with a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Prague. I had Structural, Civil/Professional Engineering licenses in many states and have assisted in designing and managing many challenging projects.

After I retired I added watercolor painting to my other hobbies like editing old movies, playing guitar and accordion and other "honey do" jobs. Now with more time to enjoy my hobbies, I am able to pursue my dream of becoming an artist.

For me, watercolor painting is opening a whole new world of beauty. While studying the different styles and techniques of the old and present masters, I am trying to absorb all there is to learn. The magic of mixing vibrant colors, expressing my feelings, and trying to capture my imagination in my pictures is very relaxing and rewarding. I was honored to be accepted as a juried member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild. It will give me more inspiration to explore the art of watercolor and broaden my future as an artist. I enjoy painting landscapes, cityscapes, Old Westerns, portraits, flowers and abstracts.

I love to travel and learn new languages. It would be a dream to travel the World and capture my emotions in my pictures.

I hope the paintings I share with you today will evoke some feelings from within. If you wish to purchase the original or giclée copy contact me at: vladfoart@me.com. Visit my website too: www.vladfosite.com
