Grace English

I paint for the pure pleasure that watercolor brings me.

I enjoy coming up with my own composition by adding, rearranging or manipulating elements in PhotoShop. I've had fun painting a variety of subjects but have found my true passion in painting plants, especially the challenging flora of the Sonoran Desert.

I took my first watercolor class in the summer of 2004. From there, I spent a year studying under local portrait artist, Lisa Larrabee. She gave me confidence and a sound foundation for my new experiences in the challenging medium of watercolor.

I am a juried member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild.

This beautiful big horn sheep posed for my camera at the Desert Museum in Tucson. This painting was awarded an honorable mention at the 2011 SAWG Annual Show.

This lovely child just drew me in, and I had so much fun painting her.
