Trees of Winter, acrylic on paper I had a lot of fun doing this painting. I wanted a warm/cold feeling. The sun on leafless aspen trees and a bit of snow on a lone pine tree gave this painting the abstract feeling that I wanted. |

The Samurai's Kimono,
watercolor on paper This painting was inspired by a book I was reading by a new author. Her name is Gail Tsukiyama. I am doing a series of Samurai Kimono paintings, all in different brilliant kimono colors. The watercolor in this painting was layered day after day to achieve the rich reds and greens that you see in the painting. |

Granada II, watercolor collage on paper
Every year during the December holidays, my pomegranate tree bears large brilliantly red pomegranates, and every year, I am destined to put them in my paintings. Luscious red pomegranates, dark green leaves; exciting colors waiting to be put to paper.
