Awards at the 2002 Annual ShowDiane Maxey, international watercolor workshop leader, was the juror for the 2002 show. Here are her remarks:

"It is always a pleasure to work with SAWG, and this show was no exception. The visual excitement of color, contrast and strong design were the leading factors in my selection of the awards. Many of the paintings were correct in design, drawing, technique and craftsmanship—however, visual excitement was lacking.

I congratulate the award winners for their outstanding paintings in a strong field, and I challenge the members of SAWG to continually improve the quality of their slides and presentations, and never forget that the Artist is an Entertainer."
