The Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild sponsors two major juried shows annually—the SAWG Annual Show and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Fiesta Sonora Show. Both shows are open only to members of SAWG. Paintings for these shows are submitted to a juror who is a nationally know painter or other expert in the field of watermedia or watercolor painting. This juror selects the pieces to be included as well as the award winners for the show. Shows at right are visitors to one of the Fiesta Sonora shows at the Desert Museum.

The Guild also presents annually, the SAWG Signature Show, which is open only to signature members of the Guild. Signature membership, which entitles the artist to add the initials S.A.W.G. after their signature on their work, is earned by those painters who have had a painting shown in a designated number of certain prestigious watercolor exhibitions.
