Fiesta Sonora 2006

The opening reception for Fiesta Sonora 2006 at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum was December 16th. It is a strong showing from SAWG members. One hundred four artists entered 189 paintings. From this selection, juror Mary DeLoyht-Arendt selected 87 pieces (from 61 artists) for the initial show and 29 show extension pieces (from 21 artists) that will replace paintings as they sell and leave the show. Seventy-six artists are represented in all.

The juror was impressed with both the number of entries and the quality of the work, stating that the selection was very difficult. We salute our members for their talents and their professionalism.

Try not to miss this exciting show. It will be available for viewing in the Ironwood Gallery through the 28th of January 2007.
