Fiesta Sonora 2005

SAWG's Fiesta Sonora 2005 show in the Ironwood Gallery at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum opened October 14, 2005 and will be available for viewing through January 2, 2006.

From 193 entries, juror Hazel Stone selected 80 paintings for the opening show and 30 additional paintings to be held in reserve as replacements for paintings as they sell and are removed from the show. As of December 6th, 27 paintings have been sold.

Fiesta Sonora 2005 is dedicated to the memory of Louise Wyant, co-chair of the show from 2000 through 2004. Her self-portrait greets all viewers as they enter the Gallery.

If you haven't yet seen this exhibit, get out to the Desert Museum before the show closes on January 2!
